A fun, festive necklace made from garland and ribbon....a little something to make for yourself after Christmas....
and perfect for New Year's Eve!
and perfect for New Year's Eve!
Well.....for better or for worse.....Christmas is over! After months of thinking about it and weeks of preparing for it, the day has come and gone. And now it's on to New Year's! To be honest, this is the first New Year's Eve in a while that we actually have plans...but plans or no plans, there's still always something about the night that seems to call for a little bling! Am I right???
My neighbor Katie showed me this fun little idea a few weeks ago....and the minute I saw it, I knew it would be perfect for New Year's Eve! Best of all, you may already have everything you need to whip one together. If not, you can easily find it in the Christmas clearance section. (And once you do, the necklace will take you 2 minutes to make!)
So here's what you need: a string of garland (the bling-ier the better) and some pretty ribbon. That's it! Then just do what you need to do to make the garland the right length.....whether that's cutting it or doubling it up or leaving it as is....and tie it together with your pretty ribbon. And....voila! Some fun & festive New Year's Eve bling!! In a matter of minutes.
Which leaves plenty of time for you to think about your outfit, or your plans for the night.....or, if you're crazy like me, the menu for the party you're hosting! The menu, by the way, is growing simpler and simpler by the day. What can I say?? I'm not used to having New Year's plans! At least the bling is taken care of!!
Thanks for taking a peek inside my Lemon Tree Dwelling....
I hope you feel right at home!
