Here's a little peek at our Red, White & Blue Garden Party -
a birthday party to celebrate our sweet girls turning 7, 5 and 2! I hope you will take a look around and enjoy what you see....and maybe even find some inspiration for YOUR next summer birthday party!
The cupcakes - a delicious recipe I will be sharing soon, with simple DIY garden marker toppers! I used white plastic garden markers with this blue and white polka dot ribbon tied around the top....then labeled each marker with "chocolate" or "vanilla". So simple....yet so cute! And my mom commented that they also look like candles. Bonus!
A Red, White & Blue Flag Banner - made from cardstock and coordinating ribbon - this was a last-minute addition to the food table and I love how it turned out!
The Dessert Table - unfortunately, we had so many desserts that they didn't all fit on our little table! Next year - bigger table!! Here are the 2 kinds of cupcakes and some AMAZING lemon bars made by my sister...
...a gorgeous fruit pizza, made by my other sister, and the world's best strawberry pies, made by my mom! The perfect desserts for a garden party, if you ask me. (Think we had enough??)
I love this Accordian-Style Flag Banner I made to hang over the drink table....edged and hung with ribbon....
And on the drink table...my Strawberry-Lemon Sangria, with the delicious addition of blueberries! Don't
you just love the cute straw dispenser? We used it last year for our
Picnic Party....it was perfect then, and perfect now, too!
Flavored Simple Syrups for lemonade - strawberry, basil, mango & mint - recipes coming soon - all I can say is they make everything better!
And....some Red Vines in an adorable Mason Jar....because they make great straws, too!
Say hello to the Sweet Birthday Girls, all decked out in their Red, White & Blue! This is one of the only pictures I could grab of the three of them together....!!
A Pretty Painted Garden Flower - one of several that the girls painted for their party....they loved making these and they added such a special touch to the decor! We just painted disposable plastic plates and attached them to garden stakes....and voila! You can see more of them in the picture of the girls above.
And inside....the favor table....with red, white & blue flowers from the 4th of July, my 4th of July Bandana Flag, metal pails from the Target Dollar Spot, and some little garden tools and seed packets.
In the metal pails were Red, White & Blue Chocolate Covered Pretzels with colored non-pareils that we gave out as favors....
And finally, a Happy Birthday message on our brand new chalkboard wall!
Happy Birthday to Ellia, Greta & Nora!!
Hope you had a fun party!
Be sure to stop back in the coming days for all the fabulous party recipes -
cupcakes, simple syrups, and some delicious salads!
And....if they're willing to share, maybe a few of those amazing desserts, too!!
Thanks for taking a peek inside my Lemon Tree Dwelling...
I hope you feel right at home!
