As you may know, every month I contribute a recipe to the fabulous blog The 36th Avenue.

  6. Reading. I love reading and if I can find a great story to lose myself in, it definitely helps. Also nice that I can do that under the blankets in my bed, it is so cold here right now!

  13. Two ways to beat the winter blues, 1) bake cookies, cakes, and other goodies and give them all away. Making them smile. And 2) getting a good book, a cup of hot chocolate and snuggle up on the sofa to relax. I think everyone has the winter blues with all this bloody cold weather.

I beat the winter blues by a) Reading a good book with a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows on the couch with a warm cozy blanket! or b) Have a family night which consists of watching a movie in our pajamas, pop some popcorn and snuggle up on the couch with my hubby and kids!!   45. luckily i am in florida so the sunshine helps....i get down if we don't get sun for a few days. i also read and am trying to teach myself how to crochet and sew/quilt so that keeps my mind occupied when not working.

  68. Well if I didn't have to take care of livestock in the winter months I wouldn't get the blues because I love going snowmobiling, but I tend to bake/cook and set in front of the fire
