When it comes to making delicious meals for my family, I go in waves. There are times when we have real, home-cooked meals every night of the week...and then there are times when I want nothing to do with menu planning, shopping, cooking, or even thinking about dinner! I'm sure I speak for many women when I say it's hard to be the one in charge of feeding a family.

It's been about 3 months since I started blogging, and I'll never forget the terror I felt when I published my first post. It was an anniversary post, a "real life" post, comparing houses to husbands. And I loved it! But, to be honest, I didn't want anyone else to read it!

Little Sweethots

Greta and I have this thing where we talk to one other in funny voices. It usually starts with me being a little goofy and singing "Max & Ruby" or saying something like, "Try again, Sweetheart..." in a silly voice that I know will get her attention. The great thing about Greta is she doesn't miss a beat - she takes on the same silly voice and picks up the same ridiculous facial expressions - and we sometimes end up talking or singing that way for the rest of the afternoon!

I never used to think much of Valentine's Day. I never used to decorate much for it or celebrate it much more than a romantic dinner out with Jorden. But now that's all changed. And not just because of blogging, but also because, as my kids get older, it's more and more fun to get ready for holidays! They are interested in how I decorate and how they can help me, how we celebrate and who we invite. They care about eating fun foods and having fun parties and, maybe most importantly, they love having something to look forward to.
